Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford Attends 9/11 Wreath Laying Ceremony

Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford laid a wreath during ceremonies held at the 9/11 Memorial of Maryland in front of Baltimore’s World Trade Center. The annual commemoration honors the Marylanders who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 in the terrorist attacks in New York, at the Pentagon, and on United Airlines Flight 93 in Pennsylvania. The memorial consists of a marble pedestal etched with the names of those 69 Marylanders, and is topped with three girders from the fallen towers. Every September 11th, the memorial acts as a sun dial marking the times of the major events on that tragic day.
