Maryland Civil War Trails
The Maryland Office of Tourism domestically and internationally markets its Civil War stories in conjunction with Civil War Trails, Inc. Maryland’s five Civil War Trails link thematically-related Civil War sites into five driving tours: Antietam Campaign Trail, Gettysburg Campaign Trail, Attack on Washington Trail, John Wilkes Booth: Chasing Lincoln’s Assassin, and Baltimore: A House Divided. Each Civil War Trail site on the driving tours has a low-profile wayside exhibit branded with Civil War Trail information and includes site specific interpretation.
New sites can be added to existing Civil War Trails by submitting the appropriate content and materials to Civil War Trails, Inc. Information about how to get a new Civil War Trail sign at your site is found here. Please contact Drew Gruber, Executive Director at Civil War Trails, Inc. for more information.
