Two Maryland-Filmed Projects Debut

“Charm City Kings,” a film directed by Angel Manuel Soto, is set to debut on October 8 on HBO Max. The film, an adaptation of the documentary “12 O’Clock Boys,” was shot in and around Baltimore last year, and includes award-winning filmmaker Barry Jenkins as one of its screenwriters. The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January of 2020.

Additionally, a music video, “If You Want Me to Stay,” featuring Ari Lennox and Anthony Ramos, was filmed in August at music venue locations around Baltimore. It was filmed as part of Crown Royal’s series spotlighting independent music artists and performance spaces.
